Tldr If you played Sonic Colors on the Wii, I wouldn't bother. I'm sort of worried about Sega considering this game feels like a cash grab and PSO2:NGS, their new mmo, is insanely monetized and losing players constantly. It felt nothing like unleashed and the 2D segments were slow and tedious. I'm not mad or anything but these stages don't connect well and I'm very off-put by quickstep and normal running styles. I'm one of those weird sonic fans who's obsessed with the Archie comics and i frequently replay the 2D games as I love them. Sonic Colors is a 2010 platformer developed by Sega while Sonic Colors Ultimate is its remastered version. Never played it on the Wii, and I have had a general disdain for 3D sonic games since heroes happened. Even if the game ran flawlessly, there's still so much wrong going with this game that I couldn't recommend the game to anybody unless you're a kid who never played the original and doesn't have a Wii or a midly powerful computer in this day and age that could emulate it.

Also, I dont think the remixes for the game are that great (some of them are good, but some others are really fucking awful imo), and the game doesn't even give you an option to switch between versions, which for a game in 2021 almost a decade out after Sonic Generations included an option to literally create your own soundtrack with any of the series music, it really reflects poorly on the level of polish in the game.Īgain, this is all bugs aside.
